The Bureau of Meteorology is warning possible damaging thunderstorms, heavy rain and a risk of flash flooding in the ACT.

After months of little to no rainfall, the chance of rain today is at 95 per cent, which includes up to 30 millimetres possible over the day.

Some parts of Canberra may experience flash flooding with the weather predicted to be sporadic, other areas might receive little to no rainfall.

Wet conditions are expected to continue over the weekend, with rain forecast tomorrow, Sunday and even Monday
