Master Builder's ACT has provided legal advice to the ACT Government raising concerns with the retrospective nature of the Building and Construction Amendment bill.

The Barr Labor Government is moving to clamp down on dodgy builders amid a construction crisis in the ACT and other parts of the country, following revelations of a number of defects.

Master Builder's CEO Michael Hopkins is calling for safeguards to be added ensuring the building regulator takes all reasonable action to hold the licensee to account, before taking action against a director.
