Future of CIT Woden Secured

Category: Capital Radio News

The ACT Government will announce plans today that will see a major boost to the vocational education sector.
Chief Minister Andrew Barr is going to unveil the new home for Canberra Institute of Technology campus in Woden.
The decision throws the future of CIT's Reid campus into further doubt, with discussions earlier this year involving whether the educator sells the site to the University of New South Wales, or possibly putting it up for re-development.
The Woden campus will be built on the site of the bus interchange, either alongside or atop the existing structure and will serve over 6,000 students a year.
