Seniors age to drop by two years in Canberra

Category: Capital Radio News

The ACT government is set to lower the age of eligibility for seniors discounts from 62 to 60.

Earlier budget plans to raise the age to 65 have been scrapped, with around eight and a half thousand Canberrans set to benefit from the changes.

The move brings the ACT in line with every other jurisdictions, with the changes set to kick in from July next year.
