Category: Capital Radio News

Data from the ACT treasury shows private and independent schools have received more tax breaks than pensioners over the past three years.

The ACT government's latest tax expenditure statement shows the territory forfeited more than 267 million dollars through tax exemptions in 2017-18, down from 280 million the previous year.

Data shows pensioners received around 22 million in tax benefits, while non-government schools were gifted 25.2 million dollars.
