US Police advise ACT on drug driving

Category: Capital Radio News

Police in America have advised the ACT to address the issues around drug driving before recreational marijuana is legalised.

Canberra's looking at how the state of Vermont put together their legislation, with Labor backbench Michael Petersson basing his bill off it.

Nine months in, Vermont hasn't seen a surge in cannabis-related driving incidents or use rates or "any of the other litany of ills we were warned to expect".

A Legislative Assembly inquiry into the cannabis bill will begin on March 26.
