Farmers across the Monaro are set to get almost $3 million in funding and drone rebates.
Member for Monaro, John Barilaro, says NSW Government’s Quad Bike Safety Improvement Program funding is critical to farmers as quad bikes are the biggest killer on Australian farms, with 128 deaths since 2011 - 32 in NSW.
Part of the new funding will go towards $500 rebates for farmers to buy drones so they can use the cameras to check fences, dams, stock and silos and won’t have to spend as much time on quad bikes.
